As a woman walked along, three little kittens came racing towards her. She sensed that they were in need of assistance and decided to lend them a helping hand.
Donna is a compassionate and dedicated animal rescuer who works tirelessly to help the community cats. She runs the @feralcatcolony and ensures that these animals are spayed, neutered, and well taken care of. One Saturday while she was visiting a cat colony, she discovered three adorable kittens. Initially, she thought someone had left extra food for the cats, but then she spotted three tiny creatures emerging from the shadows. As soon as she spoke, the kittens came running to her, one by one. Donna’s love for animals shines through in everything she does.
Donna was greeted by the first kitten, a grey one, followed by its siblings. As soon as they were picked up, they started purring and the grey kitten even stretched out its paws in happiness. Once they had eaten and cleaned up, they fell asleep in their bed, exhausted from all the excitement.
The little feline babies were left stranded with no sign of their mother in sight. They were only four weeks old and weighed less than a pound, and needed constant attention to survive. Without any hesitation, Donna took them in and created a cozy haven for them.
Donna happily reported that the kittens had an amazing first night, as they used their litter box properly and ate and drank like champions.
Following a trip to the veterinarian and receiving eye treatment, the adorable feline siblings were on their way to recovery and started to gain weight. “They need to get bigger, stronger, and have some flesh on their bones, and that’s exactly what I’ll make happen.” The three cute kittens – Woody (grey), Bryson (black tabby), and Kenzie (solid black) – mastered the art of eating from a bowl, initiating their weaning process independently.
As soon as one of the kittens decided to try solid food, the others quickly followed suit. The person fostering them was amazed by how intelligent they were at just four weeks old. They learned how to act like cats all on their own, and didn’t need much guidance from their caretaker. Along with wrestling and playing with toys, they also cuddled together and showed affection towards each other.
Kenzie and Bryson reached the one pound milestone in a mere week and were quickly catching up to their brother Woody. Soon enough, the adventurous duo were discovered outside the confines of their playpen, exploring the vastness of their house. According to Donna, their escapades have added an extra element of delight and amusement to their household. Kenzie is particularly adored for her affectionate disposition and ability to hold her own amidst her brothers.
The little felines were constantly playing and rolling around in every corner. Woody found out that he loved giving his brothers and sisters shoulder rides, and soon enough, they all joined in on the fun.
“I swear they’re like tiny engines that love using me as their own personal tree.”
Once the trio reached an adequate size, they underwent spaying and neutering and were enlisted in the adoption program at the Cats Are People, Too! Club. They were on the lookout for their forever homes. Luckily for Woody, he was able to charm a lovely family who already had a feline, canine, and two devoted human siblings. Meanwhile, Bryson and Kenzie, who shared a special bond, were adopted into a loving home where they will never be separated.
Donna expressed her immense delight in fostering these adorable babies as they brought an abundance of entertainment, elation, and laughter into their lives. The three little ones have made significant progress and are now flourishing in their permanent homes, relishing a wonderful life.
