The upcoming episode of Sister Wives will reveal the intense argument between Kody and Janelle Brown that led to their separation. The latest teaser shows Janelle accusing Kody of gaslighting her and making her feel like she’s being cheated on. As seen in the previous episode, Janelle and her children spent Thanksgiving apart from Kody, Meri, Robyn, and their kids, while Christine and her children celebrated separately at Aspyn’s house. Kody blames Janelle for causing this family divide, but Janelle denies it and insists that their kids blame Kody for his COVID-19 protocols. The argument heats up, with both parties accusing each other of mocking and cutting off the conversation.
Kody stood up and put on his jacket as he expressed his frustration about the lack of interest in understanding each other between him and Janelle. He acknowledged that there was bitterness that had no place in their relationship and he no longer expected her support. Kody emphasized that they were never going to co-parent their children together, so what kind of partnership did they have? While Janelle tried to defend herself by saying it was not entirely her fault, Kody reminded her that he had been there all these years without her support. As Kody began to leave, Janelle grabbed the sleeve of his jacket, but he refused to stay and talk because she wasn’t listening.
Janelle and Kody had an argument where she accused him of not listening to her. In response, Kody said he wasn’t going to listen and left. Janelle swore at him before telling the camera crew to stop recording. Eventually, the couple announced their separation on the Sister Wives: One on One special in December after being together for almost thirty years. Kody and Meri made their breakup official the following month. Fans can catch the entire episode on TLC on September 3rd. (Note: E! and NBC are both affiliated with NBCUniversal.)
