The citizens of Columbia, Maryland were left appalled by the incident as the poor pup not only had to endure abandonment but also suffered from abuse and negligence. A cute little pup was discovered in a green space near a residential area close to Braeburn Road, confined inside a plastic dumpster. A man dialed 911 to report that he had spotted a skinny dog locked up in a plastic container in the trash bin. The gentleman mentioned that the box wasn’t there the previous day.

The poor little pup was suffering from a severe case of malnutrition and had open sores in certain areas where his skin was missing. The heart-wrenching photos clearly show the extent of his misery. The vets at the clinic feared for his life, as he was in such a critical condition that he couldn’t even move or stand up.

When the tiny pooch came in for his initial vet check-up, he was dubbed Eddy. Eddy is an American Pit Bull Terrier, and the great news is that he’s shown improvement in response to the treatments, according to medical reports.

Initially, Eddy didn’t spend the nights at the shelter due to his fragile state. Instead, he was brought to a temporary residence where he could receive specialized care. However, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the shelter staff, Eddy’s health has been steadily improving with each passing day.

Eddy’s recovery has been remarkable considering all the hardships he has faced. It’s evident that he’s in a better mental state and is enjoying his time at the shelter by making new friends and having a blast.
