Check out the outfit donned by the actor during the premiere of “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”. While there are countless celebrity style moments, some of them leave a lasting impact on us and we often try to replicate them at home. Our Fashionista editors are revisiting their favorite looks in “Great Outfits in Fashion History”. I must admit something that took my Fashionista team by surprise – I have never watched “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”. I’ll wait here for your gasps…

I must admit, I somehow missed this iconic moment in pop culture history. However, today I want to talk about the stunning outfit worn by Kate Hudson to the premiere of “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” in 2003. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any information about the designer, as it was before premieres became a red carpet branding opportunity for celebrities and their stylists. Nevertheless, the dress itself is a breathtaking crushed velvet slipdress in a beautiful peachy-pink shade. It has a slight Art Deco flapper vibe with ruching at the bottom and embellishments on the strap, but still manages to feel modern. The only aspect that seems dated to me are the gold disc sandals, which remind me of some unfortunate style choices I made in high school.

Aside from the sandals, the overall look is completed with tassel earrings, effortless hair, and pretty-in-pink makeup featuring shimmery eyeshadow and a glossy lip. It’s a stunning and effortless ensemble that exudes an air of confidence and stardom.

I assure you that I will compensate for the time that I couldn’t watch the movie and watch it on an online streaming service this weekend. In the meanwhile, I’ll be looking for clothing items that take inspiration from Hudson’s bohemian and stylish appearance.
